What’s been happening:

The bulk of my career was in higher education as a university professor in marketing, at eight schools, as a dean at two, as Deputy Chancellor of CUNY, as President of the State Colleges of Colorado, as well as being a member and officer of several national commissions and agencies. I loved the classroom, the writing, the process as an administrator, and the politicking as a participant on national educational bodies. However, I have enjoyed my retirement role as organizer and participant as a volunteer on transportation, senoior projects, and handicapped matters equally well. Of particular pride has been my four year leadership role in the establishment of DRMAC, the Denver Regional Mobility and Access Council, through which we are coordinating specialized transportation choices for non-drivers. The Mayor declared December 15 2008 Tex Elam Day in the City of Centennial. My wife Nancy and kids are the treasures of my very lucky life.
